Ramadan, the holy month observed by Muslims worldwide, holds a great significance as a time of increased focus on charity and acts of kindness. Following annual tradition, QNET organised several charitable events across various countries to help those affected by the pandemic, natural disasters, or poverty.
Egypt
QNET partnered with the Misr El Kheir Foundation to provide food to people in the Al-Basateen neighbourhood in Cairo, Egypt, as part of the foundation’s Iftar Campaign. QNET networkers and employees volunteered their time and effort to distribute Iftar meals to those fasting, demonstrating their commitment to supporting communities in need.
UAE
QNET continued its philanthropic efforts in the UAE by significantly contributing to the ‘1 Billion Meals’ campaign, which HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum launched. The campaign aims to feed one billion disadvantaged and low-income families in 50 countries. In addition to its financial support, QNET organised a suhoor event for 150 EuroGulf Technical Contracting LLC labourers in Ajman. The event included exciting carnival games and gifts for the labourers, spreading the spirit of Ramadan among the community.
Turkey
QNET partnered with Genç Hayat Foundation in Turkey to provide iftar and essential goods to earthquake victims in Hatay. Over 2,000 people were served over two days, and 250 food parcels were delivered to those affected by the earthquake.
Indonesia
QNET worked with Pasis Dikreg LI Sesko TNI 2023 to organize iftar for children from the Baitul Muhsinin Orphanage and Muhammadiyah Orphanage. Additionally, we distributed food packs and classroom supplies to 55 children. QNET also partnered with Sekolah Darurat Kartini, a school catering to kids from difficult or underprivileged backgrounds in Jakarta, to provide an evening filled with games, school supplies, and iftar meals for 120 children.
Uganda
QNET supported the Uganda Muslim Disabled Association by providing food items, including rice, sugar, wheat flour, corn flour, cooking oil, and soap, for about 65 people in Nakasero Mosque in Kampala Central.
Nigeria
QNET and its Independent Representatives donated to the Bab Es Salam Orphanage in Ikeja, Lagos State, to mark the holy month of Ramadan.
Ghana
QNET donated to Cherubs Foundation International in Kumasi to support orphans and other underprivileged children.
Saratov
QNET donated groceries and other essential items to underprivileged families and social centres with children in need throughout the city.
Azerbaijan
QNET Independent Representatives celebrated Ramadan with the children of Umid Yeri Orphanage by feasting together on food and cake. Along with this, QNET also presented the HomePure Nova water filtration system to the orphanage to provide clean and safe drinking water for the children. Volunteers also repaired the kitchen in the orphanage so they could have a functional and hygienic space to prepare their meals, repaired broken windows and purchased handcrafts and paintings made by the children to support their efforts.
During Ramadan, QNET continues to engage in charitable activities, showing their dedication to improving the lives of those in need. Through their efforts, QNET strives to make a positive impact on communities and promote better health and sustainability globally, aligning with the company’s values and mission.
