India defeated defending champions Pakistan 3-2 in the nail-biting final of the QNET Asian Champions Trophy in Kuantan, Malaysia, taking home the Champions title for the first time in five years. The victory came as a fantastic Diwali present for all the of Team India fans who were rooting for their team from day one.
The India and Pakistan final match had all the ingredients of an intense and dramatic match. After taking the lead in the first half, World Number 6 India made a few mistakes and saw the score draw. However, in a spectacular display of discipline and mental strength, India didn’t lose its cool and came back to win the match.
The QNET Asian Champions Trophy tournament displayed to the world the very best of Asian hockey, a treat to all sports lovers. The QNET brand was visible courtside and was proudly displayed to millions of viewers via live television broadcast in over 20 countries.
