We are extremely proud to announce that we have now launched our second agency office in Myanmar in its second largest city – Mandalay. Located 700 kilometers north of Yangon, QNET Mandalay marked this special occasion by upholding our core pillar of Raise Yourself To Help Mankind (RYTHM). QNET, along with our agent Kyi Min Brothers, participated in a food donation drive at a monastery in Mandalay.
A total of 600 packs of food were presented to Buddhist monks residing at the Mahagandayon Monastery, which serves as a school for monks. The Monastery is the largest Buddhist monastery in Myanmar accommodating more than two thousand young monks and is the best place to witness the monk’s disciplined way of life.
The monastery was founded in 1914 and is regarded as the most important centre for monastic study in Myanmar. The monastery is remote – during the summer, you can only access it by two-wheeler or by walking. During monsoon, you need to navigate the canals in between the paddy fields. The monks rely on external help to function daily and keeping that in mind, QNET sponsored Hong Kong Football Club (HKFC) has raised funds to build a classroom for them.
Kyi Min Han, the Managing Director of Kyi Min Brothers, said that he was extremely pleased to mark the opening of a new office by contributing to an auspicious cause. “You may call this a small CSR activity by Kyi Min Brothers and we hope this event today will mark a good beginning for our QNET-Kyi Min Brothers Agency Office opening in Mandalay today” he said.
