QNET’s media roundtable in Egypt was planned and hosted with a lot care. The guest speaker was Mr. Christian Kurdy, NSF International’s Managing Director for the Middle East in Abu Dhabi. During the roundtable, Mr. Kurdy reiterated NSF International’s commitment to public health and safety. Their water programmes include testing, certification and auditing for municipal water treatment distribution components and chemicals, plastic piping systems, plumbing fixtures and fittings, and point-of-use and point-of-entry water systems. NSF International have also developed the American National Standards for chemicals and products that come in contact with drinking water
Some of the things we learnt during his eye-opening presentation at the QNET Media Roundtable were:
- NSF International’s role for consumers and the importance of NSF mark on certified products.
- HomePure 7-Stage Water Filtration System and HomePure Eaze is tested and certified against NSF/ANSI 42 and 53 for the reduction of Taste/Odour, Chlorine,Turbidity and VOCs.
- HomePure Water Filters can remove contaminants in water as its claims
- How to choose Home Water filter and importance of changing Filter Cartridge as it needed
Mr. Kurdy explained that NSF International certification of products means that the product in question can be trusted. This means that when HomePure claims it produces fresh clean water, that chlorine is removed along with other compounds that can cause diseases like cancer and neuro-damage, then its claims are valid because the NSF mark is there.
The NSF mark on your HomePure Water Filtration System guarantees that the HomePure filters water while allowing natural trace minerals to pass through, providing natural, purified and tasty water. The filter is proven to absorb and remove 97% of chlorine; 99% of turbidity; 99% of the total 46 types of VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) as well as heavy metals, herbicides, pesticides and chemical compounds that cause long term health problems.
