HomePure Viva Installation Guide
Everything you need to know to set up your HomePure Viva can be found in the User Guide that comes with your unit. Read on or watch the video below for instructions on how to set up your unit before using it:
Connecting to a Water Source
- Choose a safe, clean, dry and stable area to prepare the HomePure Viva for installation.
- Take the white plastic inlet tube and diverter valve. Remove the cap from the diverter valve and push the white plastic inlet tube through the cap.
- Firmly push the white inlet tube completely over the diverter valve and tighten the cap.
- Cut the other end of the white inlet tube 20 cm from the end or at an appropriate length that fits with the available space.
- Make sure the arrow on the dust filter points inwards towards the tube. Attach the other side of the dust filter to the longer piece of the white inlet tube, which already has the diverter valve at the opposite end of it.
- Connect the diverter valve to the faucet. If needed, use one of the three faucet adapters provided.
- Move the HoemPure Viva to a space next to the sink. Always hold the unit from the base for proper stability.
- Near the bottom of the back of the HomePure Viva, remove the upper elbow stopper by pushing down on the ring and pulling the stopper out.
- Repeat for the lower elbow stopper.
- Push the end of the white plastic inlet tube into the lower elbow connector, known as the inlet elbow. Push in firmly.
- Repeat the process with the grey silicone outlet tube, inserting it into the upper elbow connector known as the outlet elbow. Push in firmly.
- Push the other end of the grey outlet tube at least 10 cm into the drain of the sink.
- Connect the flexible silver pipe to the nozzle and twist clockwise to tighten.
- Make sure to keep the power cord at the bottom of the unit dry. Do not let the machine press on the power cord.

Notes Before Using HomePure Viva
Initial Water Discard
After selecting any mode, discard the initial 20 seconds of water to ensure you receive the desired pH level.
Safety First
Your user manual contains crucial safety information, such as avoiding metallic containers for storing alkaline water and the non-potable nature of acidic water. Familiarise yourself with these guidelines thoroughly.
User-Friendly Controls
The HomePure Viva features an intuitive LCD screen and audio guidance, making it easy to select your desired water type and monitor the unit’s status.
Water Pressure: The Key to Optimal Performance
Like a car needing fuel to run smoothly, your HomePure Viva requires sufficient water pressure for the best possible filtration. The ideal pressure range is between 1 bar (minimum) and 4 bars (maximum). Here’s why water pressure matters:
Effective Filtration
Adequate pressure ensures the water is effectively pushed through the filters, trapping impurities for cleaner, healthier water.
Consistent Performance
Low pressure can slow filtration and potentially affect water quality.
Full Functionality
Certain features, like generating strong alkaline or acidic water, require proper pressure for optimal results.
Addressing Water Pressure Fluctuations
Water pressure can decrease due to various factors like maintenance work, peak usage times, or issues with your water source. If you suspect low water pressure:
- Check the Source
Contact your local water supplier to inquire about any issues in your area. - Boost Pressure
Many hardware stores carry adapters that can help increase water pressure to your HomePure Viva. - Seek Expert Help
If needed, consult a qualified plumber or technician to assess your water supply and recommend a tailored solution.
Unlocking the Potential of Your HomePure Viva
Now that your HomePure Viva is successfully installed, it’s time to familiarise yourself with its three main modes. The HomePure Viva delivers a spectrum of water types, each serving different purposes:
Purified Water
This function is ideal for everyday drinking, cooking, and situations where you desire neutral, clean water. Remember to follow the flushing process listed above before using it for your drinking water.
How to generate Purified water:
- Touch “PURIFIED” on the LCD screen.
- Touch “START/STOP” to get purified drinking water; the light will turn green while the water flows.
- Touch “START/STOP” once more to stop the water flow; the green colour will now turn red. There will be an audio message to announce the operating status of the selected instruction.
- Always discard the initial dispensed water for at least 20 seconds as a precaution. This will ensure the integrity of desired pH level selected.
Alkaline Water
According to ongoing research, alkaline water has various pH levels and may offer health benefits. Start with low pH levels and gradually increase as your body adjusts.
How to generate Alkaline water:
- Touch “ALKALINE” on the LCD screen to select the Alkaline level.
- There are five alkaline levels. Touch on the dial’s numbers 1 to 5 to select the desired alkaline level.
- Touch “START/STOP” to get drinking water; the light will turn green while the water flows.
- Touch “START/STOP” once more to stop the water flow; the green colour will now turn red.
- An audio message will present the operating status of the selected instruction in each selection step.
Note: The Automatic Cleaning function will appear after the Alkaline mode is used continuously for 10 minutes. Press the Start button to start the cleaning process.
Important:
• Start drinking alkaline water at a low pH level – Alkaline 1; slowly and gradually drink it until your body gets accustomed to alkaline water.
• When alkaline water is generated, drain water flows out from the drain hose to the sink simultaneously. This drain water is NOT good for drinking or refilling a fish tank, but it is safe for cleaning the sink and flow.
• Do not take any medication with alkaline water to prevent compromising the integrity of the prescribed medicine. Instead, take your medicines with Purified water.
• Do not use alkaline water for babies and infants; do NOT mix with milk powder. Use “PURIFIED” water instead.
Acidic Water
Designed for external use only, acidic water can be helpful for cleaning and other applications outlined in the user manual.
How to generate Acidic water:
- Touch “ACIDIC” on the LCD screen.
- There are 5 acidic levels. Select your desired acidity level by touching the number on the dial.
- Touch “START/STOP” to get acidic water; the light will turn green while the water flows.
- Touch “START/STOP” once more to stop the water flow; the green colour will now turn red.
- On each selection step, there will be an audio message to announce the operating status of the selected instruction.
Note: ALKALINE 5 and ACIDIC 5 will only run for 3 minutes before switching off automatically. They require a 10-minute rest period before they can be used again.
Caution: Acidic water is NOT safe for drinking or consumption. Please use Acidic water according to the recommendations under “Modes and Functions” on page 24 of your User Manual.
By following this installation and usage guide, you ensure your HomePure Viva works seamlessly to provide you with a consistent supply of the clean and health-enhancing water it’s designed to deliver.
