Almost a thousand people participated in the Absolute Living Charity Run in Novosibirsk recently. Sports fans of different ages came from Barnaul, Omsk, Tomsk, Biysk, Kemerovo and other cities of Siberia, and had a blast participating in the run.
“It is a wonderful surprise to see that so many people are participating. We are a sports city, and the fact that many people came from other cities proves to me that a healthy lifestyle is not just words and declarations.”, – said Alexey Tolokonsky, Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Novosibirsk. Our QNET family in Russia worked together with the Department of Culture and Sports of Novosibirsk, the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Novosibirsk, and the Directorate of the Siberian Running Festival.
The event began with a warm-up led by Olympic champion in the 50 kilometers walk category- Andrey Perlov. After the warm-up, participants went to start the four-kilometer run on the Mikhailovskaya embankment. Many participants rantogether with friends and family. The event turned out to be a happy gathering of families and friends. “When I was little, my mother and I used to love riding bikes together, this event helped me look at sports as fun!I want my daughter to feel the same way, so I run with her today,” said Elena Grigorieva, an Independent representative of QNET, at the charity run. Children at the run had lots of fun too with entertaining activities like face painting, games and workshops to enjoy.
During the run, the QNET team and Independent Representatives supported the “Gather Children to School” charity event, by collecting 250 thousand Rubles (approximately 4,000USD). “Giving back is an important part of life in QNET. The company is giving back to the community all over the world. In Novosibirsk, we have already helped an orphanage, and this time all the funds raised during the run will be given to help underprivileged children of the Novosibirsk region to prepare for school – in the form of backpacks and stationery to get ready for the new school year”, – said Irina Polyakova, QNET’s Head of Marketing in Russia and the CIS.
At QNET, we believe in the concept of Absolute Living, and are always excited to bring fun activities that encourage a balanced and healthy lifestyle in Novosibirsk, and we hope to host more such activities in the future. Let’s live absolutely, together!
