The tournament started with a thrilling friendly match between the Malaysian and Indian teams at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil, which had been graced by the presence of Australian hockey legend Terry Walsh, among others. The quarter-final match between Netherlands and India had everyone on the edge of their seats, as India’s incredible comeback from being down two points to nil at half-time to cinching the win with a four-point win against Netherlands’s three blew everyone’s minds until the end.
